Americans consume an average of two cups of coffee daily, primarily using single-cup brewers, though drip coffee makers remain popular. Regardless of the brewing method, the question of what to do with used coffee grounds persists. These grounds are not merely waste but valuable for various practical, eco-friendly applications. They can enhance garden health, elevate beauty routines, and serve as natural cleaning agents, offering solutions to many household challenges. This Santa Cruz-based roaster proudly connects with farmers through their Farmlevel Initiative, ensuring high quality from seed to cup. Verve loves educating their customers about the rare, small-batch coffees they roast, and why they pay farmers a premium for quality beans.
Menu
This place is amazing everything I've had there is deliscious and prepared to perfection. Service is phenomenal and everyone is so nice. Large portions is a bonus, but the best part is the flavor of pretty much all of thier orders. Haven't ordered anything that I haven't loved. To this day, CiCi’s Cafe is considered as one of the most successful breakfast/brunch restaurants in Los Angeles. If you ever find yourself with a surplus of used coffee grounds, here are some clever ways to repurpose them.

I just wish they'd sign up for an online Waitlist as other restaurants are starting to offer so the wait time won't be as cruel. Friend of mine wanted to eat here as it’s supposedly good. Great place to impress people with American food.
clever ways to reuse coffee grounds
Huge menu, Great looking, both unique and classic items, delicious food. Long wait for a Monday brunch but they did their best to handle the crowd. Where did all these customers come from. Well, I suppose the place is in high demand for a good reason. My chicken pesto sand was perfect and I opted for Brussels Sprout fries instead of potato fries and they were perfect too. They dropped the ball on bacon instead of sausage but fixed it promptly and with a smile.
CiCi's Cafe
As Cici sees the joy and smiles of her happy customers, her passion grew and she strives to invent more unique dishes for her local customers. Many sensations followed — trending the new best-selling “Green Tea Tiramisu”pancakes, the classic “Dutch Baby” pancakes, and her silky “Chocolate Velvet” pancakes. Her menu items have expanded tremendously in time that her passionate creativity have become a real exemplification of endless possibilities. It is possible to reuse coffee grounds, but the quality of the coffee may not be as good as the first use. When reused, coffee grounds usually have a weaker flavor and strength because most of the essential oils and flavors are extracted during the initial brewing process.
Their juicy, light-roasted coffees are perfect for pour-overs, consistently brewed with a smile by friendly baristas across all locations. Maru is a Los Angeles-based coffee roaster with two cafés, one in Los Feliz and one in the Arts District. Maru is a great place to opt for a quality pour-over (their preferred brewing method is Kalita), and they also have an espresso bar. For the most precise pour-over you’ll find in Los Angeles, head to Endorffeine. Naturally, he looks at coffee like it’s his new experiment, starting with the water (which is 98.5% of coffee, after all).

I come here a lot for a good brunch or just a good espresso. Prices match the quality of the food/service.Wait times may be the only downside however worth the wait. Buttermilk Souffle Pancakes topped with fresh strawberries, lemon sauce, lemon zest & whipped cream. Red Velvet Pancakes topped with bananas, Nutella, chocolate chips, and whipped cream.
But fortunately they had already started making it. I ate half and then had the leftovers for breakfast the next day. So good and glad I got stuck with it 🙃.
The food was delicious and the service was great. They have a very long menu so if your indecisive on food choice any of pancakes is a safe bet. I like the eggs Benedict there as well. Used coffee grounds are more than just helpful in the garden; they’re a natural odor reducer. Their high absorbency and strong fragrance, combined with coffee’s acidity and potent aroma, create a powerful solution for freshening your home. You can effectively eliminate lingering smells by placing a small container of dried used coffee grounds in your refrigerator or a musty cabinet.
This colorful café is a must-visit in Thai Town. You can’t help but smile when you walk in the door; there’s a feel-good vibe radiating from the coffee shop. Obet and Del’s interior design is sunny and bright, with a painted rainbow running along the walls, exposed brick, and bold yellow chairs. If you prefer to stick to the classics, they also have drip coffee and espresso-based drinks. A counter full of pastries is also available for those looking for something to nibble. This eye-catching shop on Sunset Boulevard looks like it was just made for the ‘gram, but don’t be put off by the cutesy neon signs – they actually serve great coffee here.
I ordered the German pancakes and panicked a little when I saw someone else's German pancake come out of the kitchen. It looked like a sports stadium on a plate 😱. I asked them to change my order and they were happy to change it.
